About the role

A day in the life of an Inspection Camera Field Technician at ULC Technologies involves traveling to various job sites across the Northeast US to perform field work. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic field repairs of pipeline systems, ensuring cleanliness of service vans, interacting with clients, generating field reports, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on pipeline systems
• Operate and repair various system components as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on service vans
• Interface with clients during job site visits
• Generate field reports and other required documentation
• Ensure equipment is well-maintained and monitor spare parts inventory
• Implement Job Safety Briefings and adhere to safety protocols
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs as necessary
• Pass operator qualification tasks and OSHA classes
• Comprehend and perform required duties after training
• Work collaboratively with a dynamic team

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical background with field experience, equipment maintenance, mechanics, pneumatics, electro-mechanical, gas-related plumbing
• Hands-on, mechanically and/or electrically inclined
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Knowledge of trench excavation, OSHA regulations, utility locating, CBYD regulations
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs, communicate effectively, use Excel, Outlook, Word
• Ability to pass Operator Qualification Tasks, OSHA 10-hour class, and understand procedural protocol
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, work weekends and nights, and work non-traditional hours

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and perform work on projects of varying scopes
• Experience with gas pipelines and infrastructure is a plus
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills and corrective solutions
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
