About the Role

The Camera Cleaner plays a critical role in the preparation and preservation of the high-quality standards KEH is known for. This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing incoming photographic equipment before it enters the technical inspection phase. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where precision and care are essential. This role directly supports our mission by helping ensure every piece of gear that passes through KEH is professionally handled and ready to perform in the hands of the next creative.

Location: On-site Smyrna, GA

Responsibilities

  • Clean a wide range of camera bodies, lenses, and accessories according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and quality expectations.
  • Maintain the integrity of sorting and categorization provided by the Receiving Team.
  • Ensure items are free from dust, debris, or residue before proceeding to technical inspection.
  • Handle delicate photographic equipment with care, adhering to best practices for physical safety and preservation.
  • Identify and flag any equipment that may require additional attention or appears damaged.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure workflow efficiency and consistent quality.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with camera or electronic equipment is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated throughout the day.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with care, focus, and urgency.
  • Willingness to learn, take ownership of responsibilities, and meet performance expectations.
  • Must embody and uphold KEH’s brand values of trust, craftsmanship, and care.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented, production-driven environment.

Skills

  • Must have a basic command of the English language, including the ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.

Physical Demands
