About the role
The Head of Business Development at Cambr is responsible for developing new business opportunities, building relationships with senior-level partners, and managing the sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure. This role involves setting standards for sales processes, refining market and segment maps, and collaborating across departments to ensure seamless pipeline development and deal execution.
Responsibilities
- Identify and create new business opportunities
- Create and maintain trusted relationships with senior-level partners
- Qualify, structure, and close complex, high-value transactions
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, and NBH partners on complex transactions
- Own foundational elements of how Cambr goes to market
- Refine the sales process and playbook
- Build Cambr’s market and segment map
- Partner with the Director of Go-To-Market to manage pipeline development, forecasting, and deal execution
- Shape Cambr’s commercial foundation and influence strategy, process, and market focus
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships within banking, financial services, or high-growth technology
- Demonstrated track record of originating, negotiating, and closing complex, high-value transactions
- Experience designing or materially improving sales processes, playbooks, or market coverage models
- Driving may be required with this position
