Responsibilities
- Generate CAM programs for manufacturing environment
- Answer questions from internal and external customers as required
- Program sheet metal parts to be run on Amada & Trump turret presses
- Create CAD/CAM Programs for turret punch/press machines, using Inventor and/or AutoCAD DWG and DXF Files
- Handle incoming CAM Department inquiries
- Review project packets for completeness
- Prepare Art, Die, Fabrication, and Submittal types of drawings
- Prepare full size paper templates for manufacturing and customer use
- Help develop and maintain Engineering Drafting Standards
- Develop and recommend solutions to improve programming time run time
- Effectively communicate with Production Staff, Engineers, Sales Staff, Architects, and Installing Contractors
Requirements
- Familiarity with Architectural and Engineering Drawings
- Experience with any 3D Modeling Software is required
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor / Product Design Suite is a plus
- Experience with any RADAN, CAM software used for sheet metal punching is a plus
- Experience with AutoDesk VAULT is a plus
- Experience with Turret Press Operations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail skills
