CAM (Computer Assisted Manufacturing) & Graphics Technician

Responsibilities

• Work independently and as part of a team to setup prepress files or typeset for manufacturing of interior and exterior signage.
• Utilize message schedules from clients to prepare typeset files for production.
• Properly setup production files for the graphics department based off drawings provided to manufacturing, applying specific machine characteristics to each production file.
• Able to understand the graphics production process of making a sign and be able to setup prepress files for output.
• Proof and review completed work and customer supplied elements for 100% accuracy of color, typesetting, grammar, design, etc per customer approved drawings.
• Operate and utilize graphics printers, plotters, laminators, laser cutters, and small CNC routers and understand when to use specific substrates and processes.
• Mets production timelines by: Thoroughly reviewing each Job Ticket prior to beginning work, Asking questions as appropriate for each and every job, Assist in Quality Control - confirms signage conforms to work order specifications.
