About the role

The position involves overseeing and leading a crew engaged in highway maintenance work under the direction of a Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work overtime, including nights and weekends, and may work night shifts during winter storm conditions.

Responsibilities

• Helps the supervisor plan and schedule the work of the crew.
• Oversees and leads the work of the crew engaged in highway maintenance work.
• May be loaned to other cost centers.
• May respond to emergency call-outs.

Requirements

• A valid Class "B" Commercial Driver's License with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement.
• A current medical certificate.
• A valid California Drivers License (CDL).
