About the role
The position involves operating, maintaining, and repairing various maintenance equipment and performing general laboring tasks associated with the maintenance of the State Highway System. The incumbent may be required to work overtime, irregular shifts, and respond to emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various maintenance equipment
- Perform general laboring tasks associated with highway maintenance
- Work overtime and irregular shifts as needed
- Respond to emergency situations and calls
- May be loaned to other cost centers
Requirements
- Valid Class A Driver's License with tanker (N) endorsement
- Current Medical Certificate
- Hazardous materials endorsement (X) desirable but not required
Qualifications
The position requires a Drug Screening prior to hiring. Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification.
