About the Conference

The conference aims to connect researchers associated with Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg who are interested in strengthening their contacts with sustainability-oriented researchers and research networks from other disciplines. It also seeks to increase knowledge about the challenges ahead and explore how research can impact society.

The conference is aligned with the overall theme for the Act Sustainable week 2022, "Democracy in a Changing Climate." Key issues discussed will include the impact of democratic decline and increased polarization on academic freedom, future funding and security, and actions the academic community can take to ensure equal opportunities for all researchers in a more hostile climate.
