CALL CENTER SPECIALIST

About the Role

The Call Center Specialist works as a member of the Admissions Department and represents Lakeside Behavioral Health System (LBHS) and its programs to all those inquiring for services. The Call Center Specialist serves as a liaison between LBHS and referral sources, patients, and families. The primary function is to facilitate referrals between referring mobile crisis agencies, hospitals, and other referral sources in support of the call center operations. The Call Center Specialist prioritizes referrals made to LBHS and provides exceptional customer service to all partnering agencies. Thorough and accurate documentation of calls and other admissions-related paperwork is a critical component of the job.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between LBHS and referral sources, patients, and families
• Facilitate referrals between referring mobile crisis agencies, hospitals, and other referral sources in support of call center operations
• Prioritize referrals made to LBHS
• Provide exceptional customer service to all partnering agencies
• Complete thorough and accurate documentation of calls and other admissions-related paperwork

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Social Services field
• Experience: Prior intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting
• Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age-specific growth and development, and crisis and behavior management
