California (remote) Teacher of Students w/ Visual Impairments
About the role
TalkPath Live partners with schools to provide remote services to students, during school hours, and is currently hiring a certified and experienced Teacher of Students with Visual Impairment for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a fully virtual, hourly W2 position, working from home.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote services to students with visual impairments during school hours
- Work independently from home using a computer
- Communicate effectively via email and phone
- Adapt to various school-based Individualized Education Program (IEP) experiences
- Ensure Braille is used appropriately at some school placements
Requirements
- Full VIT certification in CA
- Functional understanding of electronic devices
- A reliable Internet connection and a private space or office, free from distractions
- School-based IEP experience
Qualifications
- Independent, creative, and flexible
- Comfortable working on computers from home
- Excellent communication skills via email and phone
- Basic understanding of Braille
Preferred
- Experience providing remote, virtual services
