California Real Estate Litigation Attorney

About the role

We are seeking skilled Landlord-Tenant attorneys in southern California for a part-time contract engagement (approximately 5-10 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Handling a variety of landlord-tenant issues, including unlawful detainers.
• Occasional court appearances.

Requirements

• 5+ years of California Landlord-Tenant and Unlawful Detainer law experience.
• Familiarity with court rules and procedures in courts located in the SoCal area.
• Ability to work independently, manage a case from inception through conclusion and handle solo court appearances.
• Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in California.
• Outstanding professional references.

• Basic requirements for the Southern California Real Estate Litigator.

Skills

• Strong legal knowledge in landlord-tenant law.
• Experience with court procedures and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

The annualized pay for this position ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
