About the role

Our client, a premier real estate firm in NYC, is seeking a Real Estate Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience representing commercial landlords, owners, developers, and other real estate clients in a broad range of disputes in New York state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, arguing, and responding to dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Taking and defending depositions
• Managing all aspects of discovery, including document production, e-discovery, and discovery disputes
• Preparing witnesses for depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations
• Participating in trials, evidentiary hearings, and arbitrations
• Negotiating settlements and developing practical, business-oriented resolutions for clients
• Handling matters involving commercial landlord-tenant disputes, lease interpretation and enforcement, contract disputes, property ownership and title issues, construction-related disputes, and other complex real estate litigation matters

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in real estate litigation
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Strong knowledge of New York civil practice and procedure
• Experience managing cases independently while working collaboratively within a team
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment
• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing

Pay

$220,000 - $250,000 per year
