California Licensed Supervisors (LMFT/LPCC)

As a supervising clinician, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of therapists and making a lasting impact on students' lives — without carrying a client caseload yourself.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and guidance to associate-level therapists (AMFT, ACSW, APCC), ensuring high-quality, evidence-based teletherapy.
• Maintain accurate, timely supervisory documentation in our secure EHR system.
• Collaborate indirectly with school counselors, teachers, and families through your supervisees to support a holistic care team.
• Use Daybreak's tools to help supervisees track progress and adjust treatment plans for the best possible outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and team meetings to stay current in youth mental health care.

Requirements

• Required Qualifications: Active, independent clinical license in California as an LMFT or LPCC (required — we are only able to accept LMFT or LPCC supervisors at this time; other license types, including psychologists, cannot be considered for this role).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing clinical supervision to associate-level therapists.
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and virtual care delivery.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Availability during peak supervision demand times (afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends).

Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish or other languages (preferred).
• Experience with CBT, DBT, or similar therapeutic modalities (preferred).
• Background in school settings or working closely with educational institutions (preferred).
• Active NPI number and CAQH profile (preferred).

• Ability to manage multiple supervisees and maintain high standards.
• Knowledge of telehealth platforms and virtual care delivery.

Pay

$90—$130 USD per hour as an independent contractor.
