California-IP Litigation Associate

About the role

The Winston Taylor Intellectual Property team is seeking a mid-level litigation associate with 3-5 years of experience as a seasoned patent litigator. This individual will represent both accused infringers and patent owners before district courts, the International Trade Commission, and/or before the USPTO in PTAB proceedings. A degree in electrical/computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent professional experience is required. USPTO registration is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in patent litigation cases before district courts, the International Trade Commission, and/or before the USPTO in PTAB proceedings.
• Prepare and present legal arguments in court and before administrative bodies.
• Conduct research on complex legal issues and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement litigation strategies.
• Manage case files and coordinate with clients and other attorneys.

Requirements

• Admission to the state bar of the preferred office location.
• Extensive experience in patent litigation, including representation of both accused infringers and patent owners.
• A degree in electrical/computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent professional experience.
• USPTO registration is a plus but not required.
