About the Role

The Communications Manager plays a crucial role in supporting CEJA and CEJA Action's campaigns, fundraising efforts, and community engagement. They are responsible for developing and managing the organization's online presence, building an active online network, and executing various digital campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Create and curate engaging and informative programmatic content for websites, social media channels, email campaigns, and other digital platforms.
  • Manage social media accounts, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring social media analytics.
  • Develop and execute digital fundraising campaigns focused on driving small-dollar donations.
  • Work on developing a new branding recognition strategy to increase community-level supporters and overall engagement.
  • Create and execute email series and campaigns using analytics to drive sign-ups and open rates.
  • Evaluate and analyze digital content and programmatic campaign metrics to guide and inform future strategies.
  • Provide basic support to the Director of Development and Communications with adding or updating content on the websites.
  • Design graphics for social media and other marketing materials, as well as flagship virtual and print products.
  • Build and foster strong working relationships within the Alliance, with members and partners.
  • Facilitate Communications Committee meetings and co-develop committee work plans and shared narratives.

Requirements

  • Experience in communications, preferably in a nonprofit or advocacy setting.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on creating compelling and informative content.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with website content management systems.
  • Basic graphic design skills.
  • Experience in media relations and building relationships with journalists.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in communications or a related field.
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media management.
  • Experience in nonprofit or advocacy settings preferred.

Skills

  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools.
  • Experience with website content management systems.
  • Basic graphic design skills.
  • Experience in media relations and building relationships with journalists.

Benefits
