About the role

Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking California-licensed attorneys with 1–10 years of civil defense litigation experience across various practice areas.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting pleadings and motions
  • Managing discovery
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Court appearances
  • Working directly with experienced trial attorneys on complex, high-exposure cases

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice in California
  • At least 1–10 years of civil defense litigation experience
  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to collaborate while taking ownership of work

Qualifications

  • Proven success in civil defense litigation
  • Experience in multiple practice areas such as general liability, product liability, catastrophic injury, premises liability, employment, environmental, automotive warranty, habitability, construction defect, professional liability, class action, life sciences, technology, and other complex litigation

Skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Benefits

  • Compensation range: $115,000–$200,000, commensurate with experience, plus bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with employer match, medical, dental, vision, paid time off, parental leave, professional development, and more
