About the role

The Calibration Technician III reports directly to the Team Leader, Manager, or Director depending on the organizational structure. These positions are non-exempt. Travel up to 50% may be required based on project and client needs. Position is eligible for company vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Completes calibrations, qualifications, and PMs with accurate and timely GxP documentation, following PCI and/or client specific policies and procedures.
  • Takes a proactive role in supporting the Team and in providing client support.
  • Builds a high level of trust with internal and client personnel by consistently upholding PCI Values of Honesty, Integrity, Pride, Accountability, Teamwork, and Commitment.
  • Expands knowledge of instrumentation and regulatory compliance, trains on new instrumentation areas, and builds an understanding of pharmaceutical and FDA requirements.
  • Develops deeper understanding of PCI's services and expands the use of these services.

Qualifications

  • Required: Two-year degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field, or equivalent military training, plus four years of applicable (Metrology, Instrumentation, Calibration) experience.
  • Prior quality system/pharmaceutical experience is preferred.

Skills

  • Expanded understanding of Traceability, Substitution of Standards, and Test Accuracy and Uncertainty Ratios.
  • Basic understanding and application of GMPs and Life Science industry regulations.
  • Thorough understanding and application of instrument, equipment, and loop calibrations of various parameters in manufacturing, utilities, and laboratory environments.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills with clients and coworkers.
