Calibration Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Weight scales
• Surface plates
• Ovens
• Thermocouples
• Pressure gauges
• Electrical instruments (e.g., Fluke meters)

Job Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Working knowledge of industry calibration standards, including ISO/IEC 17025 and AS9100 measurement control requirements
• Ability to interpret aerospace engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerance requirements
• Demonstrated experience calibrating mechanical, dimensional, temperature, pressure, and electrical measurement equipment
• Proficiency in maintaining calibration records and using calibration management systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Ability to perform hands-on work in a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 20 pounds
• Ability to visually inspect measurement equipment and read precision instruments, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certification in metrology, electronics, or a related field
• Experience in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with ANSI Z540 or equivalent calibration standards
• Experience with Fluke calibration equipment and temperature measurement systems
• Experience supporting internal and external calibration audits
• Experience using GageTrak or similar calibration management software
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools
