Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible to the Field Calibration Activity (FCA)/ Standard Generic Calibration Procedures programs
- Perform JNACT and Oxygen Clean programs audits at local and Systems Commands per International and National standards, NAVSEA, Fleet, and local Naval Support Activity directives and instructions
- Ensure compliance with Fleet Technical Assistance Programs and Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements
- Maintain certified instructor status
- Provide Divers Life Support Systems support for Oxygen Clean Program
- Prepare calibration readiness reports and updates to JNACT website
- Prepare letters of certification of sites inspected and/or audited to include Certificate of Compliance/Non-compliance and Scopes of Competency
- Accomplish Oxygen Clean inspections and certifications for Oxygen Clean Facilities IAW applicable TYCOM instructions
- Maintain ISO 9000 Lead Auditor and Oxygen Clean Technician certifications, to include completion of Navy Oxygen Clean Technical School within one year of hire
- Evaluate Oxygen Clean Technicians proficiency and knowledge by administering written and practical examinations
- Provide on-site technical assistance to fleet personnel
- Conduct Calibration Capability Evaluations and Reviews
- Coordinate requests for funding, schedule manpower and equipment required to investigate METCAL program discrepancies, and evaluate new metrology program requirements
- Cook up off-ship calibration or repair services for ships within the employee's geographic area of responsibility
- Maintain close liaison with RMC, shipboard calibration coordinators, and ISIC to prevent or resolve calibration scheduling and readiness problems
- Ensure REGIONAL LOAN POOLS (RLPs) are established at the local RMC to alleviate shipboard maintenance support shortfalls
- Ensure RLPs include a wide variety of calibrated, RFI items to permit continuous availability
- Secure close liaison with RMC, shipboard calibration coordinators, and ISIC to prevent or resolve calibration scheduling and readiness problems

Standard Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field
- 5 to 7 years of Navy METCAL experience
- NAVSEA In-Service Quality Program for METCAL Training certification
- ISO 9000 Lead Auditor and Oxygen Clean Technician certifications, or ability to complete certification within one year of hire
- NAS In-Service Quality Program for METCAL Training certification
- MS Office suite proficiency required
- Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements
