Cage Cashier

About the role

This position earns tips through a shared tip pool and earns an average of $5–$6 additional in wages. A Cage Cashier is responsible for assisting customers in the exchange of U.S. currency for casino chips, credit chips, cash, foreign currency, Golden Nugget documents, negotiable instruments, and ambassadors of company good will. This role also sells gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to casino patrons, pays out jackpots, and manages credit applications.

Responsibilities

• Control and accounting of transactions for the cage window, main bank, chip bank, and check bank
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees
• Responsible for the impress bank issued
• Perform guest and in-house monetary transactions
• Balance and issue impress bank to Floor Attendants, Food and Beverage, and Hotel employees
• Report and log all Title 31 transactions

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Support Gaming License
• Minimum of one year of cash handling experience; six months of cage cashier experience preferred
• Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate with the public in a clear and friendly manner
• Knowledge of 10-key and balancing of banks
• Solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, hands-on environment
• Minimum age is 18 years old

Pay

USD $16.50 – $17.00 per hour. Tipped position — earns tips through a shared tip pool, averaging an additional $5–$6 per hour.
