Responsibilities
- Ensures accurate and efficient performance of accounting activities at all locations.
- Controls unissued outlet banks and issues them to bank custodians.
- Completes required cage/club forms, paperwork, and reports as needed.
- Receives outlet banks and receipt bags from custodians and verifies cash proceeds.
- Exchanges currency, chips, and miscellaneous cash items with the casino cage and other departments.
- Receives slot and table drops from the count team and verifies their accuracy.
- Compiles required data for ticket redemption kiosks.
- Maintains ticket redemption kiosks by monitoring and reconciling tickets, cash, and coin.
- Replenishes cash and coin in ticket redemption kiosks.
- Completes full settlements on ticket redemption kiosks on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Handles fills and credits transactions with other casino departments.
- Enrolls new players after confirming they do not have a current account.
- Checks identification before all transactions.
- Safeguards confidential departmental and company records.
- Greet guests by name and assist with promotions and special events.
- Handle club promotional giveaways.
- Count and balance cash drawer and make nightly deposits.
- Sell event and lottery tickets.
- Assist in greeting busses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of six months casino cage or banking experience (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Results-oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Must be able to stand/walk/sit for extended periods.
- May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
- At least 21 years old.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Subject to pre-employment drug screening.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
- Able to accurately calculate figures and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Excellent customer service and building positive team spirit.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.
