Cafeteria Manager

About the role

The Cafeteria Manager oversees all aspects of the cafeteria operations including menu planning, staff management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement meal plans that meet nutritional guidelines and cater to diverse dietary needs.
• Manage cafeteria staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
• Oversee inventory management and food procurement processes.
• Handle customer complaints and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in food service management.
• Valid Food Handler’s Permit.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a large-scale cafeteria or similar setting.
• Knowledge of nutrition principles and food service trends.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
