About the role
The Cafeteria Manager oversees all aspects of the cafeteria operations including menu planning, staff management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement meal plans that meet nutritional guidelines and cater to diverse dietary needs.
- Manage cafeteria staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Oversee inventory management and food procurement processes.
- Handle customer complaints and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food service management.
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing a large-scale cafeteria or similar setting.
- Knowledge of nutrition principles and food service trends.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
