Cafe Service Worker

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of all menu items using established departmental policies and procedures;
• Assure presentation of all menu items adhere to established standards;
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, dining room. etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods;
• Ensures that the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility;
• Interact and serve guests in a courteous, professional, and pleasant manner at all times;
• Bring any complaints or queries from guests to Cafe Manager;

Requirements

• GED;
• Food preparation and beverage knowledge;
• Food service skills;
• Strong commitment to quality service;
• Ability to understand and comply with Material Safety Data Sheets;
• Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills;
• Ability to work calmly and effectively while in high pressure situations;
• Professional approach to working as a team;
