Cafe Quick Service (QSR) Manager- Eataly Short Hills

About the role

The Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) Manager assists with supervising and running the day-to-day operations of Eataly’s quick service counters, which include coffee, pastries, gelato, pizza, paninis, and grab-and-go meals. This role reports directly to the Operation Manager and supervises QSR staff, including service leads, baristas, and sales associates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a steady leadership presence on the floor, interacting with guests, team members, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and high hospitality standards
• Collaborate with the Operation Manager on administrative and financial duties
• Train, motivate, mentor, and organize team members
• Estimate food and beverage needs, requisition or purchase supplies and equipment, and verify orders for accuracy
• Monitor inventory, check orders, and distribute supplies as needed
• Manage transactions and ensure accurate accounting
• Record shift notes and assist with administrative duties such as scheduling
• Ensure department compliance with quality, health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Document, investigate, and resolve employee and guest incidents
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred
• 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience in food service
• Math skills and ability to handle money accurately
• Strong knowledge of steps of service
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of coffee and coffee production
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverages preferred
• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
• Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machines, drink blenders, and cash registers

Pay

$65,000–$75,000 per year
