Cafe Manager

Job Requirements Sweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments, is seeking to hire a Crescendo Café Manager to add to our growing Concierge team! If selected, you will lead and develop the Café team while creating a strong culture of hospitality, teamwork, and accountability. This is a hands-on leadership role, working alongside the barista team to deliver a welcoming, high-quality guest experience. Job Responsibilities Leading and developing the Café team through coaching, feedback, and accountabilityModeling hospitality and service standards by working alongside the teamIdentifying and implementing improvements to Café service, workflow, products, and efficiencyManaging Café staffing and scheduling to meet business needs and eventsLeading recruiting, onboarding, training, and ongoing skill developmentOverseeing ordering, inventory, and supplies while maintaining food quality, cleanliness, and food safety standardsMonitoring financial performance to increase sales, manage costs, and reduce wasteDeveloping Café menu offerings and programs, including new products, seasonal offerings, and promotionsCollaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams on projects, events, and broader Food & Beverage initiativesCommunicating and implementing operational changes to the team Job Qualifications High school diploma3+ years in a supervisory, leadership, or management role, preferably in food & beverage, café, hospitality, or retailStrong team leadership and employee development skillsPassion for hospitality and customer serviceKnowledge of café and food & beverage operations, staffing and scheduling, and inventory and orderingBasic financial and business management skillsKnowledge of food safety and sanitationStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAvailability for some evenings and weekends based on business needsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Business, or a related field is a plusServSafe Manager or other recognized food safety certification is a plusAdditional management experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or a high-volume customer-facing operation is a plusExperience with menu and product development, POS, inventory, or scheduling systems is a plusExperience with cost control, profitability analysis, or developing and implementing food & beverage programs is a plus Sweetwater "Ideal" Team-Player WOWs The Customer – You possess a deep passion and desire for creating amazing customer & colleague experiences Gets Things Done – You have a great work ethic and move through tasks with a sense of urgency Obsesses over the Details – You are committed to paying attention to the details Drives Continuous Improvement – You are always focusing on effective and efficient work and ways to get better Develops the Future – You are committed to the pursuit of growing personally & professionally and have a focus on bringing your colleagues along in that journey We function best as a unified team, so relocation to our state-of-the-art campus in Fort Wayne, IN is required.
