About the role
As a Manager at Klatch Coffee, you will have the opportunity to enhance your leadership abilities and foster strong relationships within the community while enjoying the pleasure of making and drinking delicious coffee.
Responsibilities
- Your primary role will be working alongside the team to meet customer needs and expand the business.
- You will support our business development efforts by reporting directly to the VP of retail.
- Create memorable service experiences through high-quality products and interactions.
- Within the first 30 days, you will understand the tasks of the role, which include:
- Demonstrate leadership by ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Follow and enforce Klatch policies and procedures, including safety, health, security, maintenance, and cash handling.
- Maintain inventory of food and beverage items.
- Organize and monitor inventory.
- Manage and control waste.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales and growth.
- Within the first 60 days, you will coach and develop the team by:
- Ensure customer feedback and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Lead the team in adhering to speed of service standards.
- Plan and execute the deployment of staff to optimize team effectiveness.
- Build teamwork and unity among crew members, maintaining positive and productive relationships.
- Utilize training tools and resources to monitor staff progress and skill attainment.
- Provide regular coaching and feedback to build their knowledge and skills, addressing performance issues as necessary.
- At the 90-day mark, you will be responsible for growing the business and controlling costs while fostering a community:
- Understand the financial performance indicators (P&L) and manage them effectively.
- Keep all costs within the desired percentage.
- Promote Klatch within the community by scheduling and supervising live music, entertainment, and art events.
- Manage store promotions, ensuring staff knowledge and execution of promotions, new products, and seasonal items.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year of retail leadership experience.
- Continuous demonstration of excellent customer service and leadership abilities.
- Experience driving sales and controlling costs.
- Proven ability to coach, train, and develop others.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and delegation skills.

- Self-driven and disciplined.
- Comfortable providing actionable feedback to team members to help them grow in their roles.
- Spends 80% of time on the floor, with the remaining 20% dedicated to supporting the team through administrative tasks.

Schedule
Hours may vary based on location and department needs, but typically range from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
