Café Instructor

About the role

Vista is seeking a Café Instructor to prepare and serve meals while facilitating activities and socialization for large groups of Vista members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shop for, and prepare meals and activities for members in the café program.
• Work within a budget to plan and prepare nutritious meals for members.
• Lead activities that encourage socialization and camaraderie among members.
• Prepare menus and complete grocery shopping on a weekly basis.
• Develop and facilitate creative group, social, and recreational activities for café participants.

Requirements

• A high school diploma plus 1 year of related experience.
• A valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record as defined by Vista.
• CPR, First Aid, and PMT certification or the ability to obtain certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Utilize technology, including computers for instruction, communication, and administrative purposes.

• Flexible schedule to accommodate café operations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Sound judgment.
• The ability to work independently while maintaining a clean, organized, and supportive café environment.

Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $22.40, plus eligible mileage reimbursement.
• Part-time, Non-Exempt, Monday-Friday 4pm-7pm, with additional hours for shopping.
• Reports to: Engage Program Manager.

Pay

• $22.40 per hour.

• Monday-Friday 4pm-7pm, with additional hours for shopping.
