CAFÉ COOK AT BOWLING CENTER (1 YEAR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)
Overview
Strikers is seeking a Café Cook who will ensure the quality of our food from preparation to plating, as well as maintain a clean and safe environment. This position will be cross-trained to ring up orders using a POS system, handle cash, prepare food, and do standard prep work such as food portioning and stocking.
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous, professional, and personalized service.
- Cheerfully greet each guest that approaches the counter.
- Ring transactions accurately and timely into the POS system.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prepare all food according to recipes and specifications/measurements provided.
- Plan fulfillment of orders so that items to be served together are finished at the same time.
- Complete orders as trained and instructed to do so and execute proper plating and presentation.
- Break down and clean all cooking equipment upon completion of each shift.
- Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters/tables.
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
- Properly portion, prep, and store food according to guidelines.
- Order supplies and re-stock shelves, if and when required.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the POS system and stay current with training updates.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (1) year experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a cash handling position.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience cooking on grill and using fryer.
- Current ServSafe Food Handler’s Permit or obtain one within the first 60 days of employment.
- Fluent in English.

- Exceptional and professional communication, presentation, and mannerisms.
- Great ability to multi-task while maintaining close attention to detail.
- Responsible Alcohol Training certification.
- Customer service experience.
- Cash handling experience.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle and move objects, including food, dishes, and pots and pans, using hands and arms. Employee may also perform physical activities such as lifting and stooping. Must be able to lift/push/pull over 25 pounds.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center environment where high levels of noise and guest interaction/activities can be expected.
