About the Role

Prime, Inc. is seeking café team members for its modern facility in Pittston. The position combines duties of a prep cook and kitchen associate, providing a positive and fun environment where associates serve drivers and other staff. Schedule

• Afternoon shift: 3:00 pm – 10:30 pm
• Part‑time hours; must be able to work one weekend shift
• Shifts vary with a three‑week schedule lead time

Responsibilities

• Total checks and accept payment for food, when applicable
• Wipe tables and seats with a dampened cloth, when applicable
• Provide lightly seasoned, nutritionally adequate, and varied meals for driving and non‑driving associates
• Perform cooking duties alongside other workers
• Serve salads, vegetables, meat, and breads as indicated by customers
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator
• Scrub and polish counters, steam‑ables, and other equipment
• Clean work area, equipment, and utensils
• Segregate and remove garbage; steam clean or hose garbage containers
• Replenish foods at serving stations
• Brew coffee and tea; maintain functionality of soft‑drink, ice, and water fountains
• Transport trash and waste to disposal area
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent
• Industrial kitchen or line‑cook experience is a plus
• Strong work history
• Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent walking, head turning, bending, reaching, and grasping; constant standing; and forward reaching. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lb and perform minimal pushing and pulling.

Working Environment

Primarily indoor environment with controlled heating and cooling, with varying exposure to chemical odors.
