Café Ambassador- Downtown Detroit

Instead, you’ll move throughout the Café, bridging the gap between digital innovation and human connection. In this role, you’ll act as a high-end service specialist and a guide to digital banking. You aren't just serving a community; you’re building one by bringing Capital One’s mission to life within a vibrant, modern community hub.

Responsibilities

• Be a Natural Connector: Proactively engage with guests in a high-energy environment that serves as both a community space and a local coffee shop.
• Serve as a Brand Advocate: Share the value of Capital One’s products and services through genuine conversation rather than transactions.
• Simplify the Complex: Guide customers through our digital ecosystem, helping them master mobile tools and troubleshooting tech challenges with ease.
• Facilitate Purposeful Impact: Host and support local events that promote financial health.
• Advocate & Problem-Solve: Advocate for our customers, problem solve, and own issue resolution in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Handle complaints and/or escalated situations, including de-escalation.
• Act as a Culture Carrier: Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where every guest feels welcome.
• Stay Agile & Engaged: This role requires being on the move and active throughout the day, moving through the Café to connect with the community and support the guest experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
• At least 1 year of Retail, Sales, or Customer Service experience
• Associate’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of banking experience preferred
• 2+ years of Retail or Customer-facing experience preferred
• Proficient in G-Suite
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification; At least 1 year of Retail, Sales, or Customer Service experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree; 2+ years of banking experience; 2+ years of Retail or Customer-facing experience; Proficient in G-Suite; Strong written and oral communication skills

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location:

• Detroit, MI: $47,840 - $55,016 for Cafe Ambassador

Schedule

Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with hours and days subject to change. Regular and consistent attendance is required.
