Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a full time Kishwaukee College student with a minimum of 12 semester hours.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Illinois driver's license and a good driving record.
• No felony or disqualifying misdemeanor criminal convictions.
• Successfully pass a background investigation.
• Once a Cadet you must take a minimum of 12 semester credit hours each semester you are employed along with three credit hours in the summer.
• Cadets can declare any major but must have taken and passed 9 semester hours of CRJ courses or be enrolled in the EMT or Paramedic courses.
• Cadets must take courses that work toward completion of their degree or certificate.
• Cadets must maintain an overall 2.0 grade point average.
