Cadastral Mapping Technician II
About the Role
Cadastral Mapping Technician II is the journey-level position in this series. Incumbents review codes, laws, recorded documents, legal descriptions, proposals, and maps to create, maintain, and update district and/or property maps, mapping records, boundaries, title, and taxability. They perform mapping duties reading and interpreting written boundary descriptions on parcel and other maps using GIS, mechanical, and CAD drafting. This class is distinguished from the Cadastral Mapping Technician III, which provides instruction, assigns and reviews work, and maintains standards for other workers. The eligible list from this recruitment will fill full-time and part-time regular, limited-term, or extra-help positions as vacancies occur throughout the County.
