CAD Technician I

Introduction

As a CAD Technician, you’ll bring bold ideas to life—blending fieldwork, technical problem-solving, and hands-on design to create the backbone of critical infrastructure. If you’re energized by innovation and ready to make a real impact, this is where your next career adventure begins.

Responsibilities

• Take imaginative engineering concepts and bring them to life—transforming rough ideas into precise, high-quality CAD drawings.
• Develop detailed construction plans, topographical profiles, and maps that guide major field operations, all while plotting cross-sections and contour data that tell the story of the land.
• Join survey crews in the field to gather real-world measurements that sharpen every design.
• Calculate rights-of-way and street layouts, and design concrete and steel supports for pipeline systems.
• Craft preliminary and final sketches, refine drawings with engineering teams, and create polished as-built documents that mark the project's successful completion.

Preferred Qualifications

• An Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) in Design and Drafting Technology strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication skills.
