CAD Technician - Entry Level

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for two CAD Technicians – Entry to Junior level to join our Houston office.

Responsibilities

Interpret sketches, mark-ups and written/verbal instructions and create workable drawings that adhere to CAD standards and other project requirements.

Create detailed drawings of various structures and installations under the direction of engineers, designers and senior CAD technicians.

Assist designers and senior technicians with preparation of engineering drawing packages.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or drafting certificate in a relevant discipline; required
• 1-2 years of drafting experience; required
• Experience with structural project design; preferred
• Understanding and application of CAD standards
• Good numeracy, geometry and computer skills
