CAD Technician, Contingent Worker

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a CAD Technician for a temporary assignment in Princeton, Indiana. This is a 12-month contract. The pay range for this role is between $30.00 - $35.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K. Who We’re Looking For We're looking for a passionate and highly motivated CAD Technician to support our digital manufacturing focus within our assembly group.The primary responsibility of this role is to support our digital manufacturing, focusing on the use of digital tools to improve the manufacturing preparation for new model introduction. This role will be required to utilize digital tools such as FEA, Navisworks, Inventor, Catia, Terrace, 3D printing, 3D scanning, digital environment creation with simulations.Reporting to the Assembly Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Production Engineering Assembly department's digital manufacturing area. What You’ll Be Doing (20%) Project Planning Support for upcoming model changes(40%) Simultaneous Engineering for assembly of vehicle Data Management & Studies(40%) 3D studies, simulations, FEA, Layout updates, 3D assembly managementClose collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, & Plano divisions What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in engineering Tech, or Computer Integrated Technology, or CAD degreeStrong communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in AutoCAD, and Catia / Solidworks / InventorProficient at GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)Strong understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminologyProficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)3D printing background personal or professional3D scanning fluency – understanding of 3D scanning technologiesAbility to travel up to 20% to all NAM’s as well as Japan as needed.This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.
