Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our hardware development team. In this role, you will create detailed technical drawings and 3D models for mechanical components and assemblies used in our robotic systems. You will sit at the interface of design and production, translating engineering concepts and specifications into precise, manufacturable documentation that guides our fabrication and assembly processes.

- Guide fabrication and assembly processes through accurate drawings.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a mechanical drafter or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software for mechanical part and assembly modeling, with Onshape experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T principles and their practical application.
- Solid understanding of mechanical tolerancing, fits (clearance, transition, interference), and surface finish specifications.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14 series and/or ISO drawing standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches and translate them into formal production drawings.
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing, casting) and how they influence drawing requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce error-free documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Arena.
- Experience with SolidWorks.
- Exposure to electromechanical assemblies or robotic systems.
- Experience creating drawings for hand-built or low-volume production environments.
- Familiarity with revision control systems and engineering change order (ECO) processes.

Pay
$55 – $65 hourly.
