CAD Technician

About the role

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a CAD Technician for a temporary assignment in Princeton, Indiana. This is a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning Support for upcoming model changes
• Simultaneous Engineering for assembly of vehicle
• Data Management & Studies (3D studies, simulations, FEA, Layout updates, 3D assembly management)
• Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, & Plano divisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering Tech, or Computer Integrated Technology, or CAD degree
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in AutoCAD, and Catia / Solidworks / Inventor
• Proficient at GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
• Strong understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• 3D printing background personal or professional
• 3D scanning fluency – understanding of 3D scanning technologies
• Able to travel up to 20% to all NAM’s as well as Japan as needed

Qualifications

• This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.
