CAD Technician
Who We're Looking For
The Client's Final Assembly Production Engineering Department is seeking a passionate and highly motivated CAD Technician to support their digital manufacturing focus within the assembly group. The primary responsibility of this role is to support digital manufacturing, utilizing tools like FEA, Navisworks, Inventor, Catia, Terrace, 3D printing, 3D scanning, and digital environment creation with simulations.
What You'll Be Doing
Project Planning: Support upcoming model changes (40%)
Simultaneous Engineering for assembly of vehicle (40%)
Data Management & Studies: 3D studies, simulations, FEA, Layout updates, 3D assembly management (40%)
Closer collaboration with internal and external groups across the client, including NAMCs, TMCs, TTCs, PE support shops, and Plano divisions (20%)
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Tech, Computer Integrated Technology, or CAD degree
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Autocad, and Catia / Solidworks / Inventor
Proficient at GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
Strong understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology
Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
3D printing background (personal or professional)
Fluency in 3D scanning technologies
Understanding of 3D scanning technologies
Ability to travel up to 20% to all NAMs as well as Japan as needed
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record acceptable by company standards is required for this position.
