Responsibilities

  • Maintain the seven core values of Precision Surveying & Consulting.
  • Draft basic lines and arcs accurately.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of survey drafting (bearings, distances).
  • Use basic computer skills for downloading/uploading TXT files.
  • Draft and calculate staking points for construction projects accurately.
  • Print staking documents for field crews.
  • Maintain and update project information as needed.
  • Draft topographic surveys accurately, with attention to details that “tell the story” of what is being depicted.
  • Comprehend engineering plans and accurately plot construction layouts.
  • Plan layout and production standards.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations for engineering and surveying documents.
  • Convert measurement units (inches) into standard survey units (100th of a foot).
  • Create a variety of documents for civil engineering and surveying (plans, maps, details).
  • Work cooperatively with staff and partially manage projects.
  • Communicate with clients in a professional and timely manner.
  • Attend required Company Training programs.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent certificate.
  • 0-3 years of experience employed in a civil engineering/surveying office.
  • Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D/Carlson.
  • Ability to comprehend basic functions of CAD programs.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

$25 - $27 per hour

Schedule

  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week.
  • Working hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
  • Occasional Saturdays on an as-needed basis.

FLSA: Exempt
