Responsibilities

• Using CAD software, to produce detailed designs and technical drawings for engineering projects.
• Collaborating with engineers and other professionals to understand project requirements and translate these into detailed technical plans.
• Designing and detailing bridge structures, including the preparation of rebar detailing plans.
• Checking and verifying design drawings to adhere to specifications and design data.
• Participating in project meetings and providing technical support to the engineering team.
• Ensuring all drawings and designs meet quality and safety standards.
• Managing and coordinating with other CAD Technicians on the team to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Continuously updating knowledge and staying current with new technologies and CAD software advancements.

Qualifications

• A degree in drafting or a related field preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Proven experience in bridge design and rebar detailing.
• Excellent technical drawing skills with great attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design principles and construction methods.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• A proactive approach to learning and developing new skills.

Pay

$60,000 - $80,000 per year
