Responsibilities
- Using CAD software, to produce detailed designs and technical drawings for engineering projects.
- Collaborating with engineers and other professionals to understand project requirements and translate these into detailed technical plans.
- Designing and detailing bridge structures, including the preparation of rebar detailing plans.
- Checking and verifying design drawings to adhere to specifications and design data.
- Participating in project meetings and providing technical support to the engineering team.
- Ensuring all drawings and designs meet quality and safety standards.
- Managing and coordinating with other CAD Technicians on the team to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Continuously updating knowledge and staying current with new technologies and CAD software advancements.
Qualifications
- A degree in drafting or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Proven experience in bridge design and rebar detailing.
- Excellent technical drawing skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of engineering design principles and construction methods.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to learning and developing new skills.
Pay
$60,000 - $80,000 per year
