CAD Technician
As part of the Water team in Greenville, the CAD (Civil 3D) Technician will develop civil engineering designs in support of various water/wastewater projects for Garver’s Water Business Line as well as other site/civil related projects. Diversity in high-volume custom projects will allow this designer the opportunity to be hands-on with detailed design, collaborate with teams of designers and engineers, and produce high-quality work in a rapidly growing business line.
About the role
The Civil Technician will provide civil engineering technical and design support for a variety of projects, primarily developing civil engineering designs and drawings for water and wastewater treatment plant projects. Other projects may include pump stations, lift stations, tanks, vaults, and other ancillary structures associated with water and sewer infrastructure, as well as other civil engineering related projects.
Typical designs will include facility layouts, grading using Civil3D tools, paving and drainage plans, and demolition plans. The designer will also model, lay out, and profile significant yard piping networks and plans specifically within water and wastewater treatment facilities using gravity and pressure networks with Civil 3D. Other tasks may include additional site/civil related design work as assigned.
The civil technician will coordinate with other support discipline activities, designers, engineers, perform quantity estimating, and ensure quality assurance and control.
