CAD Technician
Future opportunity with CSEngineering to support engineering, construction, and facility-record management activities for a Department of Defense installation.
About the role
CSEngineering is seeking a CAD Technician with strong Autodesk Civil 3D drafting experience and the ability to maintain accurate 2D and 3D engineering record drawings.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, revise, and verify technical drawings, plans, blueprints, and as-built documentation.
- Use Autodesk Civil 3D and other Government-approved CAD tools to produce accurate engineering and facility-record drawings.
- Incorporate field changes, redlines, specifications, survey information, and contractor-provided as-built data into final drawing packages.
- Review CAD files for compliance with applicable architectural, engineering, construction, and project drafting standards.
- Verify layer naming, scale, symbology, title blocks, version control, and overall drawing quality.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and CAD/GIS personnel to maintain accurate and current facility records.
Requirements
- Security Clearance: NACI/SF85 (Public Trust).
- Associate degree or postsecondary certificate in CAD, Engineering Technology, or a closely related field; or at least two (2) years of CAD technician experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Map 3D, Revit, digital database management, and engineering or architectural drafting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of drafting theory and practice, including the use of survey, cartographic, architectural, and engineering data.
