Description of responsibilities
- Create, modify, and update technical drawings and models based on the specifications and instructions of engineers for CRW’s infrastructure projects.
- Utilize Computer Aided Design software for CRW’s Capital Improvement Projects, which include stormwater utilities, water and wastewater linear utilities, and site development projects.
- Prepare and revise Capital Improvement Project (CIP) utility plan sets, such as civil site plans, grading plans, and utility profiles using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related design software.
- Develop and modify engineering drawings and layouts from sketches, markups, field data, and project requirements while ensuring compliance with organizational and industry drafting standards.
- Maintain organized digital drawing files, documentation, and version control records.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to support project design, specifications, reporting, and overall project coordination.
- Review completed work for accuracy, dimensions, and material requirements and assist with related project management tasks.
Required experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in CAD drafting, civil design, surveying, construction, or a related field.
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- Experience preparing civil engineering plan sets and technical drawings.
- Experience supporting infrastructure or utility-related projects.
- Preferred experience with ArcGIS Pro.
- Preferred experience with Revit software.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of design and project management principles related to drinking water, wastewater, stormwater infrastructure and street restoration.
- Knowledge of construction administration and management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF-XChanger Editor.
Required Education
- An associate’s degree in CAD, Surveying, Construction, or a related field from an accredited institution or acceptable equivalent education.
