Cad Technician
Join our dynamic team in Fort Worth, TX as an Electrical CAD Technician, supporting technical teams of detailers, designers, and engineers in creating top-tier details for diverse projects. You will play a key role in developing computer-aided drafting and design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and revising engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.
- Prepare and revise permit and plot drawings.
- Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
- Follow the drafting practices of the selected discipline.
- Draft design and documentation for various projects.
- Utilize standard drafting detail programs for tasks.
- Contribute to continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.
- Research project concerns and recommend solutions to design problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or coursework in drafting technology, or specialized CAD certification.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, with an aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
Skills
- Experience with Civil 3D, utilities, distribution design, and power lines.
Work Environment
Work in a collaborative office environment in Fort Worth, TX. Engage with a team of professionals using the latest drafting technologies and tools. The role may require adherence to specific dress codes and standards.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
