CAD Technician

Responsibilities

• Aid the Survey staff in preparing all types of surveys, contours, and surface development.
• Interpret and adhere to legal descriptions in the creation of CAD drawings.
• Support the Engineering staff in the creation of plans, permit drawings, record drawings, and marketing and presentation drawings.
• Adhere to company CAD standards and templates to ensure uniformity across all departments.
• Coordinate utility locations and complete necessary documentation.
• Update and modify design drawings based on feedback from engineers and surveyors.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in drafting preferred.
• No licensure/certification required.
• 0-5 years of drafting experience, with a focus on land surveying and civil engineering; consulting firm experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Team player with collaboration skills.
• Ability to recommend improvements and innovations.
• Sound technical judgment and decisiveness.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree in drafting preferred.
