Technical College degree, Associate’s degree, or equivalent and 2–4 years of experience.
Skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D commands and workflows.
- Familiarity with multi-tab drawings, managing layer display attributes, and visibility within multiple viewports.
- Familiarity with the Civil3D environment and basic functionality, including:
- Concept of coordinate systems, identifying them, and working within them.
- Import and display of point data.
- Modification of Civil3D styles to control the appearance and display of civil objects (points, surfaces, corridors, alignments, etc.).
- Use of point data to create simple surfaces for the generation and display of contours.
- Assembly of multiple drawing files and organization for efficient updates in the event of future changes.
- General knowledge of ArcGIS, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Routinely prepares figures for drafting requests, including:
- General site sketches
- Soil boring and sample location maps
- Basic geologic cross-section diagrams
- Assorted construction diagrams, well diagrams, and other graphics as required
- Surface and/or groundwater contour maps
- Residential layouts, excavation bottoms, and oversizing
- Works independently on tasks assigned by the CAD Manager.
- Applies Braun Intertec standards and practices.
- Communicates effectively with CAD Manager, Project Manager, or field technician to clarify drawing requests, ensure accuracy of deliverables, or request additional materials.
Pay
$50,000.00 – $74,000.00 per year.
