Key Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models for new products from concept through production release.
- Build and manage parametric assemblies in Autodesk Fusion 360 with attention to tolerances, materials, and manufacturability.
- Produce prototypes in coordination with the shop and iterate on designs based on manufacturing feedback.
- Generate product renderings and customer-facing dimensional visuals for new products.
- Deliver production-ready CAD packages that reduce manufacturing ambiguity and accelerate product launches.
- Improve manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and product consistency through thoughtful design revisions.
Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Design Technology, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Design, Sculpture, or a related field.
- High proficiency with Autodesk Fusion 360 or similar tools, including parametric modeling, assemblies, and drawing packages.
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or design-build environment.
- Strong ability to create and interpret technical drawings with accurate GD&T callouts.
- Hands-on experience using measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, and squares.
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing CAD files and drawing revision control.
