CAD Operator

About the role

VEKA Inc. is a proud member of the family-owned global VEKA Group and the world's largest extruder of vinyl for the window and door industry. We have four US locations with over 800 employees.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes CAD Software to create & maintain various die and mechanical drawings.
• Utilizes CAD Software to review & revise various die and mechanical drawings.
• Maintain tooling system charts and assemblies.
• Provides interdepartmental support.
• Supports designers and engineers.
• Draw and detail go-gauge drawings.
• Support Fine Tuning and Tooling Maintenance Departments.
• Responsible for file maintenance.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree required in CAD Drafting or Mechanical Engineering.

Skills

• Proficient in the use of Desktop Inventor and AutoCAD, Excel & Word software.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good documentation skills.
• Ability to work in cross functional environment.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, results driven and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility in job responsibilities and assignments.
• Team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities through excellent time management and organizational skills.
