CAD Drafter

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in CAD or Building Technology
• Formal training and experience using AutoCAD a must
• Experience using Sapphire strongly desired
• Experience using Revit a plus

Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to read, understand, and produce construction drawings and details
• Experience with Revit or 3D modeling programs a plus
• Knowledge of residential industry or wood framing a plus

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineers to produce construction documents for single-family homes, multi-family condominiums, office buildings, and other miscellaneous projects
• Drafting of structural framing and foundation plans for production homes, custom homes, and townhouses using AutoCAD
• Updating existing structural plans for revisions
• Assembly of site-specific single-family homes plans from a master plan of options
• Preparation of drafted site-specific foundation plans unique for building configuration or site requirements
• Drafting or editing of structural framing details
