Qualifications & Skills
- Strong skills in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Understanding of drafting standards, construction methods, and materials
- High accuracy in creating technical drawings to avoid errors in construction
- Ability to work within a team, taking instruction from engineers and project managers
- Ability to visualize a 2D drawing in 3D
- Willingness to work extended hours and Saturdays when a project schedule requires it
- Willingness to spend time in the field alongside quality control/field personnel to gain a better understanding of construction methods and detailing processes
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in CAD, drafting, or engineering technology, or equivalent technical training
- Experience with CAD software and, in some cases, previous experience in construction or manufacturing
